Wendy Ferguson is a full-time registered nurse with Kootenai Health in Coeur d’Alene. She works in Trauma Services as the Injury Prevention Coordinator and as a PACU nurse with surgical services.
She is active in many of Kootenai Health’s programs and committees including the Research and Evidence-Based Practice committee, Kootenai Foundation committee, Magnet programs and chairs the Injury Prevention Coalition Committee.
Wendy earned her BSN from California State University Bakersfield in 2011 where she specialized in emergency and trauma care. She previously worked as a CNA, Ski Patroller, Wilderness First Responder and whitewater rafting guide in the Grand Canyon.
Wendy’s passion for patient care, best patient practice and sharing of knowledge with other RN’s is exemplified in her work and projects.
She currently lives in Hayden, Idaho with her husband and two school aged children and enjoys volunteering in her community, mountain-biking, rafting, snowboarding and sleep on her days off.
